Shaun Rykiss

Shaun is a Toronto-based editor with over a decade of experience shaping character-driven stories for film and television. Whether building tension, developing character, or refining narrative flow, he strives to bring depth and precision to every project. Known for a calm, collaborative approach in the cutting room, Shaun combines strong instincts for narrative structure, creative problem-solving, and efficient execution. A graduate of Vancouver Film School and an alumnus of the Canadian Film Centre’s prestigious Editor’s Lab, his award-winning work has premiered at major international film festivals and streamed globally on platforms including Netflix, Hulu, Shudder, Crave, and CBC Gem. Shaun is represented by Courtenay Bainbridge at Meridian Artists.
